To Our Cos Bar Community,

First and foremost, we hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. As the impact surrounding COVID-19 continues to rapidly evolve, we wanted to keep you as informed as possible on how we’re responding to the situation and the difficult decisions we are having to make.

Our stores will remain temporarily closed to the public as long as necessary to ensure that we continue to do our part in slowing the spread of the virus. It is challenging to predict how long we will need to keep our doors closed, but we will continue to assess the situation with the safety and well-being of our teams and community top of mind. We will keep you updated as we have new information to share.

We are still serving our clients on our online store at cosbar.com and are fulfilling orders for our website in accordance with local regulations, while following practices of social distancing. Team members from select stores are also available via phone for virtual beauty consultations, to help place an order, and to offer curbside pickup where permitted.

As with many businesses, this situation has had a real impact on our company and employees. We are doing the best we can to take care of our team, but with the realities of today’s circumstances, we had to make some difficult choices to try to ensure we can weather this storm. Starting April 5, we have decided to place all retail staff below Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager level on furlough. Select employees below this level will have the option to continue working for us through a performance-based initiative. For furloughed employees on our company-sponsored healthcare plans, Cos Bar will temporarily fund both their portion and the Company’s portion of their health insurance premiums.

In addition to these changes at the store level, effective April 5, Cos Bar’s Corporate Leadership team will take reductions in their salaries.

We have been a small, tightly knit business serving our local communities for 43 years, and hope to keep serving our clients for the next 43. These are the most difficult decisions we have ever made leading Cos Bar, as they dramatically impact our Cos Bar family, of which you, our client, are a significant part. Please know that we appreciate your loyalty and support now more than ever. Take care and remember that we’re all in this together.
